Hi. I am Julie,
Ever since I can remember I have been trying to make something out of nothing.....
Style wise I tend to be drawn to modern country. Think barn yard accents with clean lines. And if it is not modern country, I prefer a softer feminine vintage/ shabby chic style.
This becomes a little interesting when you consider the man I married likes clean simple, modern minimalism. Secretly, I must say I enjoy the challenge this brings (just don’t tell my husband though).
I am happy to find someone out there that loves crafts as much as i do...but i am having trouble getting my daughter as interested in crafts as i am and i feel it would be a great way for us to spend time together. That leads to my question how did your mother go about teaching you everything you know and spark your interest in such a fun and creative hobby?
ReplyDeleteI apologize for the delay in response time, your comment slipped past me.....
ReplyDeleteMy mother wasn’t a very avid crafter. But she always encouraged my sister and I to explore our interests and branch out to knew things. She was extremely supportive and dealt with the messes in a loving and gracious manner. I can remember so many times that she would just sit there with us well we crafted in the kitchen, she was always so intrigued by what we were doing. I have so many happy memories of the time we spent just enjoying each others company, even if she wasn’t actively doing the craft with us. So even if your daughter doesn’t like to craft, encourage her to just watch and hang out with you well you craft. You will create ever lasting memories.....
